RCEN Delegate Reports Galore

NFHCC Recommendations on the Delivery of Habitat Management Program by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO)

This report is a synthesis of 5 workshops that engaged over 100 ENGOs and DFO in discussions about the delivery of the Habitat Management Program. The opportunities and recommendations in the report represent significant contributions to potential policy and program improvement towards better protection of fish habitat in Canada. Read more

This report from the RCEN Biodiversity Caucus includes recommendations based on current domestic policy and the outcomes of ongoing international Access and Benefit Sharing negotiations within the Convention on Biological Diversity. Read more

Multi-Stakeholder Consultation on BNST Risk Management Measures

RCEN delegates have submitted their report following a public consultation on proposed regulatory measures for benzenamine, N-phenyl-, reaction products with styrene and 2,4,4-trimethylpentene (BNST). This report supports a regulatory approach to prohibit the manufacture, use, import and sale of BNST to minimize its release to the environment. Read more

7-year CEAA Review Discussion Documents Released

The RCEN Environmental Planning and Assessment Caucus has released two discussion papers in advance of the 7-year Parliamentary Review of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act (CEAA). Read more
