RCEN Annual General Assembly: Health and the Environment

This year’s theme of “Health and the Environment” promises to generate a lot of interesting discussions among AGA participants over the weekend of October 25-26. Saturday night's keynote speech will be given by Dr. Lynn Marshall, as she presents the strong and moderate evidence linking “ugly” and “bad” environmental hazards to health outcomes, and “good” practical pointers to protect ourselves and our families.

There will also be a workshop on “Children’s Environmental Health” on the 25th. This workshop will summarize the basics of vulnerability of children to environmental exposures and what actions Canada is taking to decrease these exposures.

Finally, “Health and the Environment” will be addressed through two other workshops entitled: “Uranium – Coming to a Lung near You!” and “Electro-Smog and Electro-Sensitivity: What you Need to Know to Protect Yourself”.
